Wealth Management and Investments Introduction

The central philosophies behind this new programme for managing money are simplifying the way your investments are administered and applying a defined investment strategy targeted towards your goals whilst satisfying your risk tolerances.

Caboodle DO NOT offer advice for Wealth Management and Investment products but are able to introduce you to fully qualified advisers who have extensive experience in this area and offer a personal and impartial service from the beginning of the process to the end, answering your queries and helping to sort out any issues arising along the way. Their sole objective is to provide you with the best solution that meets your needs and aspirations.

The way it used to be…

The traditional style of financial planning involved segregating the different tax planning products by selecting a particular company to provide a product. Invariably, the most appropriate company for the pension would be different to the most appropriate for the ISA.

Once the provider had been selected, maybe on the grounds of charges, contract terms or investment options, you then had to make do with whatever funds that company offered. Of course, their range may have been great at the beginning, but they were never going to stay at the top. So, what you ended up with was a collection of policies with different companies, selected at different times during your life, all with different investment options within them.

Even for administration this was very cumbersome but more importantly for advisers, if they wanted to change the investment profile, they were often left with whatever choice the different companies decided to offer, and quite often you would be left with charges to move between funds as well.

How it is done now…

Having partnered with experienced advisers in this field Caboodle is able to introduce you to The Squirrel Wealth Management Programme which has essentially unbundled all of your planning needs, meaning that rather than selecting several individual companies to invest with, as used to be the case, they can use a single `Wrap` or `Platform`.

This unifies your money so they can build a portfolio of funds with many specialist investment companies, which can be best described using the analogy of a “fund supermarket”.

They don`t have to just accept whichever funds that company decides to make available, but instead they can work on a “best of breed” basis, picking the most appropriate managers to achieve different objectives.

In addition, and in reality most exciting of all, they can also apply the monies to different structures, such as Pensions and ISAs all from one portal.

So, rather than thinking in terms of your pension being different to your ISA`s, a defined and dynamic investment strategy can be applied to all of your monies, which can in turn tactically exploit the tax planning benefits of the different structures to best serve your interests and objectives. We feel this is incredibly valuable in being able to manage your objectives and project the likelihood of you achieving your objectives.
